2010 Boys Tennis Season

The boys tennis team continued the growth trend with forty-five athletes participating in tennis this season.  This growth was fueled by the addition of eighteen freshmen. 

All of our athletes were able to enjoy competitive matches through varsity, JV red, and JV white squads.  Both varsity and JV programs increased the level of competition and improved the strength of their respective schedules by adding teams ranked in the Top 10.

Varsity Highlights:
10-10 overall dual record.
3rd Place Sectional finish
FRCC Overall Conference:  Tied for 5th Place.  5th Place in Duals; 6th Place in Tournament.
6th Place @ Waukesha South Invitational.
5th Place @ GB Metro Tournament

All Conference Honors:  Mathew and Tommy – #1 Doubles – First Team
All Area Honors:  Michael – Singles; Mathew & Tommy – Doubles

Individual State qualifiers were Michael in singles; Mathew and Tommy in doubles.  Although Mathew and Tommy received an alphabetical seed, they were beaten in the first round by Wausau East.  Michael won his first round match before losing to Brookfield Central.

JV Highlights:
Dual record:  3-6-3
Divisional Conference Tournament:  3rd and 4th Place (Entered 2 equally divided teams)

The focus of the JV team continued to be quality matches against quality opponents.  As such, most matches were varsity formats with 2 of 3 sets.  Teams added to the dual match schedule included Brookfield Central, Brookfield East, and Marquette University School.  The JV program also had their first overnight multi meet.
